Kitchen Chrome Countertop Water Filter with 1 Micron Carbon Block Filter

The Countertop Chrome Superior water filtrations systems are stylish and a great water filter value, designed for chlorine treated water supplies – typically provides excellent filtration of up to 2500 gallons at an affordable price. Outstanding performance is achieved by using a replaceable 1.0 micron Solid Carbon Block filter cartridge. This cartridge removes particulates as small as 1.0 micron and filters chlorine taste and odor, sediment, rust, and particulate matter for sweet, clear, great-tasting water.

Our Solid Carbon Block filters flow in the radial (outside-to-inside) direction, providing increased dirt capacity and low pressure drop. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) water filters, solid carbon block cartridges will not channel or bypass, due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. Poor water quality may reduce lifespan of filters.

User Reviews

I bought this filter after comparing it with other candidate filters and reading the reviews. It seemed like just what I needed (I am a newbie at this). When the filter arrived though, I had big troubles trying to plug it in my faucet. There was nothing about this in the accompanying documentation, so I did Google search. I finally found the information that this filter is not supposed to work with pull out faucets, which is exactly what I have. I had to return this filter. It would be very helpful to put this info in the seller's product description section. -- Had to return this
We are happy with the filter. We have old pipes with heavy and a heavy sediment problem. The filter was a great solution to the constant purchasing of bottled water. It was super easy to install and the filter lasted well over a year. I did have to replace the faucet adapter after a year because the sediment clogged the valve. It was easy to find at a local plumbing store. One trip was still a hell of a lot easier than hauling bottles of water every couple weeks and then dealing with the recycling center. -- easy salution
I am very happy with this product. Was very easy to install and my tap water that used to taste very bad doesn't have any taste any more. -- Great product
I was a bit wary about this filter when I bought it because I couldn't find installation instructions anywhere.

Here's the deal: you remove the unit from it's package, remove the aerator that should already be on your faucet, screw on the units custom aerator (which connects to the filter via thin tubing), arrange the filter where you'd like it to sit, and that's it. You're done. Water is shunted through the filter by employing the metallic switch on the side of the aerator (by pulling it out).

It's very simple which is probably why no one mentions exactly how this thing works.

Last but not least, tap water tastes much, much better filtered through this device. Or rather, the absence of taste is what's notable.

Bottom line: fantastic filter at a very reasonable price. -- Great value, easy to install
I switched from a Brita faucet-mounted water filter to this one. Though the initial investment is greater, it is well worth the money for the ease of use and installation this product offers, as well as its longevity. The faucet-mounted filters tend to break or need replacement yearly, and the filter needs replacement yearly for this countertop model. The price of replacing a faucet mounted filter and replacing the filter for this countertop are nearly identical. The countertop offers a much faster flow of water, much easier operation, and it does not take up room in a small sink when you're trying to wash dishes. The spout is movable (though it cannot be separated from the body) which is a huge help when you're trying to fill something tall like a pitcher, or when you're trying to get a drink of water and your sink is full of dishes that will splash the water around. The unit is fairly large, but attractive. The water tastes very bright and clear. This unit is worth the extra bit of money for a more permanent solution to gross tasting water. -- Worth the investment
